Hakusembe River Lodge
Rundu, Kavango River

Accommodation
Hakusembe River Lodge offers eight air-conditioned bungalows that overlook the Kavango river, all with en-suite shower facilities. One of the bungalows is a family bungalow with three single beds. The rooms are set between large acacia trees. Fridge, mosquito nets, a tea/coffee station and an in-room safa are standard.

There is also a romantic Honeymoon Suite and a floating chalet for those who want to get really close to the life of the river.

The thatched main lodge area has a reception, swimming pool, restaurant and a bar with a small seating area.

Location
Situated 16km from Rundu in the Kavango region, Hakusembe River Lodge is breaking the long haul from Etosha to the Zambezi and Vic Falls. The lodge is situated at the Okavango river which rises in Angola and flows on to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. On the other side of the river, some Angolean villages can be seen.

Activities
Activities include guided river safaris, an early morning guided bird watching walk, (over 400 species have been spotted locally), bream and tiger-fishing, and the very popular champagne sunset cruises.
