Zambia
Very diverse national parks
Arguably the best walking safaris in Africa
The mighty Zambezi - a river full of life
Approximately the same size as Texas and traversed by river valleys, Zambia is host to the southernmost Rift Valley faults; it is also the birthplace of the walking safari and therefore ideal for those who like to explore on foot. The best known areas are Livingstone, Kafue National Park, Lower Zambezi National Park and South Luangwa National Park. The remote Liuwa Plains and the Bangweulu Swamps are destinations for the seasoned travellers with special interests. The safari season in Zambia is short und most of the camps are only open from June to October and the camps must be booked well ahead. To avoid hours of driving we offer some fantastic fly-in safaris.
