SwissAfrican
High-quality safaris

SwissAfrican organises high-quality safaris in the most beautiful regions of Africa.
We have two years experience running a luxury lodge in the heart of the Okavango Delta (Tubu Tree Camp), and know both the needs of our valued guests and how to run a lodge successfully. We have traversed southern Africa from Mozambique to Namibia, Cape Town to Northern Zambia and Tanzania countless times. All SwissAfrican employees have experience working at lodges and have completed at least one month’s guide training in the African bush.

We know all lodges personally. Any question you may have - we have the answer.

By using plenty of image material and examples of trips with prices (click her for travel suggestions), we aim to offer visitors to our website the best possible overview of the various countries that make up Africa. Many visitors then choose to contact us by telephone on 044 451 40 51 or via e-mail, while those preferring a more personal approach visit us at our office in Zollikon. Whichever way you choose to contact us, we are capable of issuing a quick, individual quote for your dream holiday – this also applies to complex, several-week long transnational trips in private aircraft.

Our Partners
Quality is paramount to us - even in the African bush. For this reason we work only with the very best operators who are capable of creating a truly memorable experience for our guests. Fore example, we are preferred partner of Wilderness Safaris, the major provider of eco-lodges in southern Africa. Wilderness Lodges are situated in prime locations and built with the utmost care and respect for nature. Each lodge is unique and offers very high standards. Private concessions offer the few number of visitors an unparalleled wildlife adventure. Impressive wilderness experiences, exquisite food in spectacular surroundings and romantic evenings around the campfire ensure a truly sensational holiday.

Protecting wildlife
Partaking in a photographic safari directly contributes to protecting the wildlife of and sustainably preserving the reserve visited. In direct competition with hunting safari operators or industrial development of the area, onsite operators must pay large amounts of their income to the state. This is one reason why safaris are usually very expensive – it is left to a few to raise a lot in order to protect this pristine nature. The permanent presence of safari operators in the parks also inhibits poaching and land acquisition. All respectable operators work closely with neighbouring communities and employ people living in the vicinity of the camps, simultaneously helping to instil in the minds of particularly the younger population that protecting nature is both important and progressive. This of course is only possible if there is enough interest from overseas in visiting and preserving these wonderful places.
