Both The Edge & Eternity Walking Camp were built on the edge of the Fish River and serve as accommodation during multi-day hikes that are undertaken from the Fish River Lodge.

You sleep in dome tents, which are surrounded by a protective stone construction in the shape of an igloo.

Hikes into the canyon are offered in the colder months from April to September only. Day trips or a tour of several days are available and can be customized to your wishes. The descent into the canyon requires some climbing on brittle rock material, so you should be reasonably good on foot. On the multi-day tours, you no longer camp in the canyon but have to climb back out and overnight either at Eternity Camp or Edge Camp which are both built on the edge of the canyon.
