The Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch offers 18 rooms of three different types: Six wooden chalets built on stilts atop a sand dune offering spectacular views. Four have en-suite bath and shower facilities, while two ‘Exclusive’ Dune Chalets also boast private splash pools and private dining options. Eight stonewalled chalets built in dune valleys (Savannah Chalet), and four garden rooms close to the main building. All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, tea-/coffee station and minibar.

The spacious, old farmhouse has been extensively rebuilt and modernised. The entrance hall leads to the reception and lounge to the spacious dining room with garden area, pool and bar.

The lodge is situated close to Mariental on the edge of the Southern Kalahari. Its surroundings are characterised by parallel red sand dunes that form a remarkably picturesque landscape.

Giraffe, kudu, zebra, eland, oryx, springbok, ostriche, meerkat and cheetah.

Guided bush walks with the San in the morning, scenic nature drives, sundowner game drives, night game drives, guides horse-back safaris.

The lodge also supports a programme for the appropriate keeping of cheetahs that were once held in captivity. Guests may visit these fantastic creatures when they are fed.
