Mila Tented Camp
Western Serengeti

Accommodation
Mila Tented Camp is a particularly elegant tented camp with a great Out of Africa flair. In the cozy lounge tent you can browse through beautiful safari books, review your snapshots of the day or have interesting conversations. A campfire is part of the daily routine and whenever possible and desired, your private outdoor table will be set up under the stars.

Mila Tented Camp is very small and personal and has just five rooms plus one family room with two en-suite bedrooms. Mila Tented Camp was inspired by the Hadzabe people, who are famous for their honey. This is reflected in the textiles and the colours, and beautifully complements the vast grass plains of the Serengeti.

Location
With its endless steppes and iconic umbrella acacias, the Serengeti represents the beauty of African wilderness at its best. Mila Tented Camp is located in Nyasirori in the western corridor of the Serengeti near the Grumeti River. The camp is approached via the Grumeti Airstrip from where it is a 45-minute drive to the camp.

Wildlife
The great migration of wildebeest and zebra and the crossings of the Grumeti River take place in May / June.

Grass eaters such as zebra, topi, gazelles, impala, buffalo, giraffe are present all year round and some wildebeest always remain in the area, and with them, of course, predators such as lion, hyena and leopard.

Activities
All game drives take place with your private guide and vehicle.

Permanent Camps
Permanent camps do not change location and therefore have a better infrastructure than mobile camps.
Mobile Camps
Mobile camps operate in the Serengeti and change their location two or three times a year following the Great Migration of the wildebeest and zebra. Mobile camps have a simpler, bush-like character. Although the rooms have an en-suite bathroom, there is often no running water in the rooms. Bathrooms are then equipped with a so-called bucket shower that needs to be filled with hot water by the camp team on demand.
