Singita Explore captures the new mood of adventure. Spacious and stylishly put together, the custom-designed tents have an uncluttered appeal and provide an escape from modern-day distractions. Dining under stars and sleeping under canvas, this unique experience is all about being close to nature, immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the Serengeti plains.

Singita Explore has 6 x 1-bedroom tents that are configured to suit each individual group of travellers. Since the whole camp is booked for only one group at a time, guests govern the pace of their day with their choice of many activities to enjoy. There is even a refreshing plunge pool at the camp.

Singita Grumeti Reserve (1'415 km²) is an exclusive, private reserve that borders on the Serengeti’s Western Corridor. The camp is accessed by air via Sasakwa Airstrip. The journey from airstrip to Explore Tented Camp takes approximately 45 minutes.

Grumeti Reserve offers everything anybody could ever wish for from a safari, and the variety of wildlife is good all year round. Guests do not need to rely entirely on the migration of wildebeest and zebra, but can enjoy a safari here at any time of the year.

Grumeti’s grass plains provide a habitat for thousands of topi and represent the Serengeti in all its beauty. Lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah hunt here. Rhino have recently been released into the area.

The camp offers game drives, walking safaris (from 16 years of age).
