Serena Hotel Lake Victoria plays a central part of the social life in Entebbe/Kampala. The hotel is located on the shore of Lake Victoria and is surrounded by large gardens and a well-kept golf course. The architecture was modeled after an Italian palace, including a coliseum for weddings and special events, large swimming pool, gym, sauna and spa, and various restaurants and bars. The hotel offers 114 standard rooms, 8 executive rooms and 2 suites that are allocated in different buildings of the vast hotel complex.

The hotel is beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Victoria in Uganda’s Wakiso District. It is just a 35-minute drive from Kampala and about an hours drive to Entebbe and Entebbe International Airport. In that respect, it is a good option for those who are staying a couple of nights here, but if you are just doing a quick overnight in Entebbe off an international flight, there are closer hotels.

Access from Entebbe airport is via the main road to Kampala. The road to the hotel then turns onto dusty side roads until you reach the Serena after about 10 minutes.
