Kwetsani Camp
Okavango Delta

Accommodation
If you are looking for a tree house, Kwetsani should be your choice.

Kwetsani Camp offers five intimate, luxurious tree‑house chalets elevated on wooden stilts in the Jao Concession, built from canvas, wood and glass with panoramic floodplain views. The airy suites feature king (or twin) beds with mosquito nets, over‑bed air‑conditioning, a lounge area, ceiling fan, safe, coffee/tea station, en‑suite bathrooms with double basins, flush toilets and indoor plus private outdoor showers, verandas and private viewing decks.

A family room is available and offers ample space for parents + 2 kids, compromising of two adjoining tents, each with their own bathroom and shared lounge.

The raised thatched main building - linked by wooden walkways - features a bar built around a jackalberry tree, a lounge with a small library, the dining area and a pool. The camp is 100% solar‑powered.

Location
Kwetsani is located in the Jao Flats in the west of the Okavango Delta. The plain in front of the camp fills with water in March / April, which completely disappears again in October. Red lechwe frequent the area around the camp when the water level is high.

Kwetsani Camp is only accessible by light aircraft. Jao Airstrip is located approximately 60 minutes from the camp. If water levels are high, arriving guests are transferred directly from Jao Airstrip to Kwetsani by boat. A great introduction to the world of the Okavango Delta!

Flight time to Maun in a Cessna Caravan is 40 minutes, and 1 hour 25 minutes to Kasane.

Kwetsani Camp is part of the private Jao Concession (630 km²). Pelo Camp, Tubu Tree Camp, Jacana Camp and the premier Jao Camp all belong to this concession.

Wildlife
Various antelope, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hippo and crocodile may be encountered. The plains around Kwetsani are full of red lechwe during the floods - a truly unforgettable sight.

Activities
Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives, fishing (catch & release).

Kwetsani offers mokoro and motorboat trips during the floods.

Because the camp is located in a private concession, night driving with a searchlight and off-road driving for special animal observation is allowed. Close-up shots are guaranteed.

Good to know
As the camp faces East, breakfast on the deck at sunrise is particularly beautiful.
