4 Rivers Camp is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, within the Kwara Private Reserve. The camp is tucked away under old trees and overlooks a water channel and the dry land of Maboa Island.

The camp has 9 large Meru tents (of which one is a family tent), all on raised wooden platforms and offering en-suite bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers in addition to a spacious bedroom. Two comfortable lounge chairs invite you to linger and read, and those who like to spend time outdoors can take a seat on the large veranda.

The main building in the center of the camp has been skillfully decorated and guests have plenty of space to eat outside, sit or chat about the day's events at the fire pit in front. In addition to the bar, dining area, and souvenir store, a plunge pool with lounge chairs has also been built around the corner of the main building.

4 Rivers Camp is part of the private Kwara Concession (1'750 km²) and is your base to explore the western part of the Kwara Concession. The concession lies in the north of the Okavango Delta and shares a boundary of 30 kilometres with the world famous Moremi Game Reserve. It boasts both permenent water and seasonal flood plains as well as extensive dry bush wilderness.

4 Rivers has its own airstrip. Flight time to Maun in a Cessna Caravan is about 40 minutes, and 1 hour 30 minutes to Kasane. Driving time from 4 Rivers Airstrip to 4 Rivers Camp takes approximately 20 minutes.

Camps in the same concessiona are Kwara Camp and Splash Camp.

The area is home to an astounding array of animal and bird life, including lion, hyena, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. Herds of elephants also frequent the area, as well as buffalo, giraffe, zebra, sitatunga, lechwe, impala and hippos. The rare sable antelope is often seen as well.

Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives, walking safaris on Maboa Island, mekoro (seasonal).

Because the camp is located in a private concession, night driving with a searchlight and off-road driving for special animal observation is allowed. Close-up shots are guaranteed.

Guests are guided by a two person team of professional guide and tracker - a special feature of the Kwando Safaris wildlife experience.
