Thornybush Reserve
Set in the northeast of South Africa, Thornybush is a well known private reserve to the west of Kruger National Park. It forms part of the Greater Kruger and is home to the Big Five and a variety of other African wildlife species. With near perfect year round climate, Thornybush is a perfect destination for a family safari.
Greater Kruger
There are no fences between Thornybush and Kruger National Park, allowing the animals to move freely between Kruger National Park and the private nature reserve.
The journey is often made via Hoedspruit, with national flights coming from Cape Town and Johannesburg, followed by a relatively short drive to the reserve. Small planes connect the Thornybush Lodges with the Sabi Sand Reserve.
