Nestled with refinement in the beautiful African bush landscape, Ngala Tented Camp is a contemporary luxury camp that never allows visitors to forget they are in the wild. It is one of Kruger National Park’s few tented camps.The camp’s six stilted safari tents peer out from beneath shade-giving trees onto the Timbavati River. All tents come with a large bathtub, outdoor shower and spectacular river views.
A swimming pool is also available for use.

Location
Ngala Tented Camp sits in the 14'700 hectare Ngala Private Game Reserve which is located in the Timbavati region of the Greater Kruger Area.Offering excellent wildlife observation possibilities, Kruger National Park is the most renowned, largest (almost 2 million hectares) and game-rich national park in South Africa. The landscape here encompasses gently flowing hills, forests, open grasslands and romantic riverbanks. In addition to the Big 5 (elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo), the park is also home to hyena, hippo, giraffe, antelope and much, much more.
Ngala Tented Camp is situated 40 minutes by road from Hoedspruit Airport. Alternatively, it can be reached by light aircraft directly from Johannesburg in 1.5 hours.
Wildlife
Ngala Tented Camp is located in a game-rich region comprising mopane woodlands and the plains along the Timbavati River. Lion, large herds of elephant and buffalo, leopard, cheetah, rhino, hyena and many species of antelope and bird tend to gather close to the camp.
