Chintheche Inn offers ten comfortable rooms, each with en-suite facilities and veranda. The rooms are separated from the crystal clear waters of Lake Malawi, which is easily mistaken for a sea, by a well-groomed section of lawn.

A swimming pool sits directly on the beach, and dining takes place beneath the stars (weather permitting).

Chintheche Inn is situated on the northwest shore of Lake Malawi, Africa's third-largest lake, which stretches for over 500 km from north to south. With its warm, crystal clear water, the lake is surrounded by palmed beaches, tropical rain forests, picturesque fishing villages and soaring hill ranges. It is home to some 400 species of fish, many of them endemic. The birdlife here is extraordinarily varied.

There's a comprehensive range of activities on offer. In addition to the normal water-based activities, local guides are always ready to take guests on a visit to the village, or sit and watch local fishermen at work. The sure-footed can enjoy the Luwawa Hiking Trail. Mountain bikes are also available for use.
