The 16 freestanding luxury suites are accessed via an cobbled pathway beneath the ancient forest canopy. The suites come with large glass windows, a fireplace and lounge, en-suite bathroom with additional outdoor shower and a deck with fantastic panoramic views. Two of the suites have a private plunge pool on the deck (no additional costs).

Situated between Hermanus and Gansbaai, Grootbos Private Reserve is nestled between a mountainous landscape and the ocean. Its elevation affords spectacular views of Walker Bay and the ocean. Hermanus and Gansbaai are considered to be one of the world's best places for whale watching, either from land or sea. Some 2000 southern right whale migrate from the Antarctic to the warmer waters here in mid June to mate, calve and rear their young.

Did you know: A baby whale measures about 6 m in length at birth and drinks up to 600 litres of mother milk per day - a fully grown right whale can grow to 17 m long and weigh up to 90 tons.

Leeu House, an exclusive and private 12-room five-star destination, is located in the scenic Franschhoek valley.
