The Kariega Game Reserve is a picturesque game reserve in the Eastern Cape with vast valleys, mountains and forests. The 10,000 hectares are privately owned and managed.

Location
Kariega is located about 1,5 hours from Port Elizabeth and 30 minutes drive from the coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea.
Wildlife
All animals of the Big Five family live in the Kariega area – lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffalos. Of course, you will also see other wild animals such as giraffes, zebras, warthogs and many different kind of antelopes. Two large rivers, Kariega and Bushman‘s River, meander through the landscape and offer excellent bird watching.
Activities
In addition to open vehicle game drives, you can also take boat and canoe trips on the Kariega River. Walking safaris and fishing trips are offered. The Lodge also has an inviting swimming pool and a spa area where you can spend time between safaris.
