Location
North Island is one of the inner islands of Seychelles, which are often described as the finest in the world. The island lies 30km from the main island Mahé. Access is by helicopter only and the flight takes approximately 15 minutes.
The island's hills are covered with tropical vegetation and the beaches are fringed with palmes. There are three different beaches on the island with very fine white sand of which the Seychelles are famous for. The villas are located at East Beach. Honeymoon Beach and West Beach are worth a visit for a private lunch or a romantic dinner at West Beach - known for its legendary sunsets.
Wildlife
A lot of effort has been put into the conservation of the original flora and fauna, and wildlife. Endangered local species were reintroduced. All the endemic birds, such as Seychelles Kestrel, Seychelles Blue Pigeon, Seychelles Swiflet, Seychelles Sunbird and Seychelles White-Eye, were reintroduced to the island. Seasonal breeding by green and hawksbill turtles.
Activities
Water sports such as SUP, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing, boat trips and, of course, diving (fully equipped PADI diving centre). The island can be explored either by buggy or bicycle.
