Kwazulu Natal
Subtropical climate with lots of beaches
Various safari parks like Phinda, Thanda, Hluhluwe
iSimangaliso Wetland Park
KwaZulu-Natal and its capital Durban has a much more tropical vibe and it’s easy to detect the influence of the Agulhas Current, which brings warm water from the equator to the east coast of Africa.
Durban itself feels very Indian. Brought to South Africa by the English to work on the sugarcane plantations, the Indians have left a lasting cultural impact on the city.

Several well-known safari parks, including Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, the Thanda Private Game Reserve and the Phinda Private Game Reserve, are situated north of Durban.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park is a huge wetland area with UNESCO World Heritage Site status. It not only boasts various lakes, marshlands and lagoons, but also dunes, beaches and offshore coral reefs. It protects a large population of crocodile and hippo and very remote beaches.
