Accommodation
The Pangolin Voyager is a houseboat that cruises the Chobe River. The voyager is specifically equipped to cater for photographers and birders.

The boat offers 5 luxury cabins, each configured with either a double bed or a twin. All rooms can accommodate two adults and come with en-suite bathroom.

The Pangolin Voyager consists of 3 decks. The cabins for guests and staff are located on the lower deck. The middle deck features bar, lounge and dining area. The top deck is the perfect viewing point to watch wildlife while the sun sets over the Chobe River.

Location
The Pangolin Voyager operates on the Namibian side of the Chobe River. Access is through Kasane (Botswana) at the Kasane Immigration border post on the river. It is about a 10 min driving distance from Kasane Airport.

This border posts opens at 07h30 and closes at 16h30 daily. Guests should meet at Immigration at 13:30. After having your passport stamped, it is only a short boat ride across the river to Impalila Island to enter into Namibia (another stamp!). The whole transfer should not take more than 45 min from the jetty, or one hour from Kasane airport respectively. On your day of departure you will be taken back to Botswana, your arrival time at the Kasane border post (jetty) is about 10 am.

The Pangolin Voyager cruises its way through the wonderful Chobe waterways. The boat generally moves in the Kasai Channel as well as Kasika and Serondela within Chobe National Park.

Wildlife
Chobe‘s wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. It is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa and during the dry season the herds congregate along the fertile flood plains of the Chobe River. Large herds of Buffalo also concentrate on the floodplains during the dry season. Other major species such as Lion, Wild Dog, Puku, Red Lechwe, Sable and Roan Antelope are encountered in many areas of the reserve.

Activities
Being on a houseboat is an activity in itself as the boat provides a wonderful platform for game viewing along the river. Smaller tender boats that accompagny the houseboast allow for game cuises along the banks of the Chobe National Park. The tender boats can also be used for fishing and birding.

The photo opportunities aboard the Pangolin Voyager are endless. Two custom built photo boats are available for guests to use as they wish. The guides have all undergone photo guide training and are very aware of light and positioning as well as their extensive knowledge of animal behaviours.
